Hello, my name is Janet Gilham, and I live in a seaside town on the south coast of England. For many years I painted landscapes in watercolour, and then I discovered the joy of creating pet portraits in coloured and pastel pencils. A portrait of your pet, whether still with you or sadly passed away, is a beautiful memento of a much loved member of your family, and is so much more personal than just a photograph.   I use either professional quality, light fast pencils on drafting film, or pastel pencils on Pastelmat. Portraits take an average of 25 hours to complete.
